Star Announces He Wants To Join Arsenal – Arteta To Sign £21M Man

Jesus is close to Arsenal move – Arsenal set to sign Hickey – Foster wants to make Emirates switch in Arsenal news of the day.

Brazilian journalist Rodrigo Oliveira announced that Arsenal are close to completing a deal for Gabriel Jesus

There is no doubt in the media that Mikel Arteta will be handed some funds in order to sign a striker that will solve all their problems, and that can score the goals that will take them back.

That has led to all sorts of speculation that Arsenal are ready to pay the big money and bring Gabriel Jesus to the club – especially as he wants out of Man City.

The Brazilian has scored close to 100 goals for Man City and won numerous trophies – but he will be further down the pecking order at the Etihad next season after the arrival of Erling Haaland and opted to depart the club.

Now – amid the speculation – Oliveira has told Calciomercato.it, via Sport Witness, that Arsenal are close to signing Gabriel Jesus: “Many top clubs are on Gabriel Jesus, but the one in pole position is Arsenal,” he said.

“The player wants to leave Manchester City. Jesus is very close to signing with the Gunners, he is very suited to English football and wants to stay in England and Arsenal want to make a good offer, so Arsenal will probably take on Gabriel Jesus, who lost space with Brazil in the recent months.

“Many players have overtaken him in the hierarchy [national team], which is why he wants to stay in England.

“At the same time, Arsenal are ready to make a great offer, perhaps even for €50-60m and are in pole position.”

Foster wants move – Former England goalkeeper Ben Foster has admitted that he would like to sign for Arsenal this summer.

Foster is a man that has proven himself in the Premier League over a good number of years – and is not right at the very end of his playing days in football

However – there has been some speculation in the media which has claimed that Arsenal are very much interested in signing him up – as a back-up to Aaron Ramsdale and new summer signing Matt Turner

Now – The 39-year-old has come out and stated that he would like to sign with Arsenal this summer – he said on the Fozcast: “If I’m signing for a club as a number two goalkeeper, it depends on the first-choice goalkeeper.

“Say Arsenal or Aston Villa, where the first-choice goalkeeper I know is a world-class goalkeeper – Ramsdale or Martinez – I know I have a world-class goalkeeper in front of me, who’s still at an age where they are learning and they can get there because they’ve got the potential.

“At that point, I will go ‘I’m going to help you maximise your ability and make sure you become an absolute monster or beast’.

“I’d love to be able to do that. I would love to do that.”

Foster would class as a home-grown player – meaning that Arsenal would be able to go out and sign another foreign star for the club

He would be happy to be third choice and would do a decent join between the sticks if he is ever needed – he does have experience in the Premier League -so why not make the move and give him a contract. It will not cost hundreds of thousands a week to sign him up – so maybe for one season – yes
