Arsenal fans can just about get ready to celebrate another new signing it seems, with Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko now close to joining.
Zinchenko has emerged as another top target for Mikel Arteta’s side as they look to add more new faces to the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira. The City midfielder – who plays as a left-back for Pep Guardiola – has been linked with completing a £35m move as early as this week.
And according to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, that deal for Zinchenko is edging ever closer. The Sky presenter was answering a question on Brighton defender Marc Cucurella. And within that answer, he revealed that the deal to see Zinchenko move to Arsenal is all but done.
“Man City are still interested but Brighton are under no pressure to sell. City might accelerate their interest once Zinchenko leaves for Arsenal, that looks like it’s at an advanced stage, it should be done soon,” Sheth responded to one fan’s question
Sheth’s comments here would suggest that Zinchenko has now pretty much agreed to join Arsenal. The Ukrainian will be keen to show he can make a big impact, with chances further forward in midfielder likely to be given.
