Premier League star price revealed as Arsenal prepare to fasten up transfer process

Arsenal have been told they will have to pay £40 million if they wish to secure a transfer deal for Southampton star Kyle Walker-Peters

Mikel Arteta is still a man that knows that he needs to keep on signing players that will improve the squad – and Walker-Peters in the latest name to be linked with a move to the Emirates.

He registered two goals and four assists in 37 appearances across all competitions last term – and has been tipped to leave the club after failing to agree a new contract with the Saints

Man United and Tottenham are also reportedly interested in a possible move for the player – but it is reportedly the Gunners that are leading the chase to sign the very gifted defender

However – The Sun claims that Southampton have set a £40 Million asking price on his head which they hope will act as a repellent for most chasing clubs.

Amid all the4 speculation – the Gunners have been told that he would be a very good addition to the side if they managed to complete a transfer deal

Kevin Campbell also insisted that potential price tag is “cheap money” for someone of Walker-Peters’ quality: “I’ve watched him play and he’s done really well at Southampton,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.

“He got a few opportunities at Spurs but we didn’t really see the best of him. But now he’s playing week-in, week-out – he looks like a really good addition to that Southampton squad.

“He can play left or right, he’s a good attacker and a good passer – he’s a real threat going forward.

“£30m is cheap money for an England international. He’d have to put his Spurs ties aside to come and join Arsenal – but he’s a very good player.”
